If you use a refillable device, you choose your own e-liquid, and strength is the first decision. Get it right and the device feels comfortable. Get it wrong and even a great flavour will feel either harsh or underwhelming.
Two bottles we carry show the two ends of the usual range.
Vice Salt 30ml is a nicotine salt e-liquid at 20 mg/mL, in a 30ml bottle, with twelve varieties. It's designed for pod systems and low-wattage devices.
Kapow! 60ml is 6 mg/mL, in a 60ml bottle, with seven varieties. It's a lighter strength, made for all-day vaping and for people moving to lower nicotine levels.
Why such a big difference? Because the two are meant for different devices and different ways of vaping.
A small pod system running at low wattage produces a modest amount of vapour per puff. At that output, 20 mg/mL feels about right for someone used to cigarettes or typical disposables. Nicotine salt helps here: it's smoother at higher concentrations, which is why salts are the usual choice for pods.
A device running at higher wattage, with more open airflow, produces much more vapour per puff. At that output, 20 mg/mL would feel far too strong. A lower strength like 6 mg/mL is the comfortable match, because each puff carries more liquid.
So the first question isn't really "what strength do I want?" It's "what device am I using, and how?"
If you use a compact pod at low wattage with a tight, cigarette-like draw, a 20 mg/mL salt like Vice Salt is the natural fit.
If you use a device that runs at higher wattage with a looser draw, a lower strength like Kapow! 6 mg/mL is the better choice.
What if you're not sure what your device is? Tell us the make and model and we'll point you the right way. The device's manual or product page usually says whether it's designed for mouth-to-lung (tight, low power) or direct-to-lung (open, higher power) vaping.
If you're unsure which strength suits you, start with the one closest to what you use now, and adjust from there.
Can you use a lower strength in a pod system? You can, and some people do, especially when stepping down. Expect a lighter sensation, and possibly more frequent puffs at first.
Can you use a high strength in a high-wattage device? It isn't a good idea. The result is harsh, and it's easy to take in more nicotine than intended.
Bottle size is the other difference. Vice Salt's 30ml bottle suits a small pod, which only holds a few millilitres at a time. Kapow!'s 60ml bottle suits a larger device that goes through more liquid. In both cases, the bottle size matches how much each type of device typically uses.
What about the legal limit? In Canada, no vaping product may contain more than 20 mg/mL. Vice Salt sits at that ceiling. There is nothing stronger legally for sale.
If you're changing strength, keep the same flavour for the first bottle. That way you can tell whether a difference you notice comes from the nicotine or the taste.
If you're changing both device and strength at the same time, give yourself a few days to adjust before judging either.
Store bottles upright with caps tight, somewhere cool and dark. Nicotine e-liquid is harmful if swallowed, so a high shelf or a locked cabinet, well away from children and pets, is the right home for it. Wipe spills promptly, and wash any liquid off skin with soap and water.
A couple of extra pointers for people visiting Manitou Beach. The spa and the lake draw visitors year-round, and it's easy to forget a bottle in a hot car while you're swimming or dancing. E-liquid left in heat can change flavour, and a bottle left in a closed vehicle on a summer afternoon gets surprisingly warm. Keep it in a bag you carry with you, or leave it at home.
Orders to Watrous and Manitou Beach go out from our Saskatoon location by tracked courier, with tracking emailed at dispatch. A couple of days is normal; same-day only reaches addresses within Saskatoon. Government-issued photo ID is verified at checkout and again by the courier on delivery, so an adult of 19 or over with matching ID needs to be there.
If you're travelling to Watrous from elsewhere and want your order waiting when you arrive, send it to the address where you'll be staying, as long as someone 19 or older with matching ID is there to accept it. Otherwise, it's usually simpler to order to your home address before the trip.
If you don't yet have a refillable device, add one to the same order so the bottle is useful from the day it arrives.
Every bottle we ship carries the federal excise stamp and comes through an authorized Canadian distributor. Saskatchewan restricts flavoured vaping products beyond tobacco, mint, and menthol to specialty vape shops and online sales, and that rule reaches Watrous like everywhere else.
One bottle is a perfectly good order; there's no minimum and no sign-up needed.
When an old device eventually wears out, recycle it at a battery or electronics drop-off rather than putting it in the bin.
