Does Willowbrook's change in status matter for delivery? No. Couriers don't look at municipal status. They look at a civic address, a postal code, and a road, and Willowbrook has all three.
Here's how an order travels. We pack it at our Saskatoon location and hand it to a tracked courier. The tracking number is emailed as soon as it ships. From there the parcel moves east through the courier's network toward the Melville area and on to Willowbrook. A couple of days is typical. Same-day delivery isn't available here; it only covers addresses within Saskatoon.
Three details decide whether that trip goes smoothly.
The civic address. Use the house number and road the courier can find, not a description of the property. If you're unsure of your civic address, a recent utility bill or the RM office will have it.
If your address is a rural one outside the townsite, include the full road name and number exactly as your RM records it; drivers rely on it more than any description.
The postal code. It routes the parcel to the right depot. A wrong or old code is the most common reason a package takes a detour, so check it on your first order.
A daytime phone number. On rural routes, drivers sometimes call ahead when an address is hard to find. A number that actually reaches you during the day can save a second trip.
On arrival, the driver matches your ID to the order. The adult receiving it has to be 19 or older, and the name on their ID must match the order. With only a handful of homes in town, it's usually easy to be there, but it's worth planning on busy days.
If you're usually out during the day, working in Melville or elsewhere, order to the address where you'll be. The courier doesn't mind where the parcel goes, as long as the right adult is there with matching ID.
Neighbours can't sign for you. Unless the order was placed in their name, the parcel goes back with the driver.
Nobody home? The driver leaves a notice. Tracking will show whether the parcel will be re-attempted or held for pickup. Bring the same photo ID when collecting it.
Tracking is the easiest way to stay on top of all this. "In transit" means it's moving between facilities; on rural legs, a day can pass between scans without any delay. "Out for delivery" means it's on the vehicle and will arrive that day.
